This morning, shockwaves were sent through league front offices after a bombshell was released by Philadelphia 76ers GM bankz regarding the upcoming 3003 draft. I don't think we know who will go where in the draft until we see the scouts was the overall tenor of the comments by bankz. This news sent GMs scrambling across the league to react accordingly and prepare themselves for the pending consequences of this realization.

When the Post reached out to the Sixers for more context, Bankz had this to say: "There has been a lot of speculation about Greg Oden being the number one pick. Some have said Kevin Durant is going to be the number one pick. I could see either of those guys being the number one pick. The thing is, we won't know until the scouts are able to break down these players' strengths and weaknesses and we can really find out what they are made of. You see, we don't know who is the best until we look through them with a fine tooth comb. Once we are able to break down their film, get in-person, verified measurements and an up close and personal display of their athleticism, it's hard to say who will actually be the number one pick."
This level of insight is seldom seen in TMBSL front offices, and the aftermath of these revelations has not been pretty. Rumors are swirling that Lakers GM Tyler Wind has been sent into anaphylactic shock and is currently undergoing treatments. He is expected to recover fully, but is said to be more unsure than ever of who he will pick. "He is just realizing that he truly doesn't know who is better until the scouts come out. It was too much for him to handle" said an anonymous source within the Lakers organization.
Bankz wasn't done, though. He had one extra nugget for GMs out there that we almost decided not too publish for fear of the repercussions. "Another tidbit I'll throw out there is this, and it's a juicy one: I could even see that point guard from Ohio State, Mike Conley, going number one if his scout is better than the other two." While the Post has yet to verify the bold claims in Bankz's latest morsel of intel, the mere thought is likely to lead to fallout among the top teams in the draft. We will continue to monitor this story as it develops.
