With a majority of American's finding themselves with massive amounts of extra time on their hands, many old hobbies have become renewed again. Whether it be Pokemon or Sports cards, reliving your childhood and making some money isnt a bad combination.
Maybe it's an investment for the new generation? Gamestop? TO THE MOON! AMC? TO THE MOON! DOGECOIN? TO THE MOON! Do I get it? Absolutely not. Do I want in on the hype and make extra money? ABSOLUTELY.
Some of us have no right being anywhere near the investment game (me!). So while I'm over here losing money on all of the above, I came to the stark realization that rent is due shortly and I have some bills that need to come up. Naturally, what do all degenerates fall back on as their safe space? That's right... TMBSL 3001!.
The 3001 season is entering day 100. I've been following the box scores, I've been following some GM action, I think I'm ready to make an impact and pay some bills!
To set the stage, I'm starting Sim 7 with a modest $300 budget on the betting account and my primary goal is to make it to $1500. I'll never do more than a 2 game parlay (parlays are for suckers) & spreads will be created for a story/narrative purpose (thanks for accepting this). Can we do it? Only time will tell in this week's RENT OR RAMEN!
Day 101/$300. I need to start strong & safe. I look over the schedule and the game that comes to mind is: Magic (-12) vs Heat. I also really like the Pacers over Nets, but that spread (-28) was terrifying. I went a seperate route and took the Pacers 1st half (-14)
Bet 1: Magic -12, 200 to win 180
Bet 2: Pacers 1H -14, 50 to win 40
Profit: +220
Day 102/$520. Im feeling good, I could take my kid to get ice cream or take her to Target, but NOT TODAY SWEETIE, daddy has some bets to make.
Looking to continue the momentum: Not going to sugar coat it, i like the Bobcats over the Hornets. Lets slam the shit out of that as my only bet of the night.
Bet 1: Bobcats -16 vs Hornets $250 to win 225 X
Fucking A, Hornets keep the points and win 109-96
Too pissed to find a night game to double down on.
Profit: -250, I should have got that fucking ice cream.
Day 103/$270
Bounceback day. Found out quick there is no such thing as a sure thing in the TMBSL this late into the season.
First parlay experiment: Mavericks (ML) over Chaparrals & Magic (ML) over the Sonics.
Bet 1: ML Parlay Bet 200 to win 130. The Magic won on a sick buzzer beater to secure my safety and lose 4 pounds of sweat in the process.
Bet 2: The Spurs at home (+8) vs the Suns were also an intriguing matchup. I'll take the home team & points. Bet 50 to win 40.
Profit: +170, Surprisingly, nothing went wrong today. I was watching the final three minutes of the Magic game... slinging my childaround in anger. Luckily they hit that buzzer beater and i was able to put my child down in safety.
Day 104/$440
A day of big home favorites, time to take some shots. I was pretty busy at work - so i search twitter to find some extra info. Sadly, i forget i dont have a twitter, so i leave it to my own judgement. Smoke a bowl and take some guesses.
Bet 1: Hawks (-18) over Timberwolves (125 to win 100)
Bet 2: Pacers (-14) over Hornets (125 to win 100)
Bet 3: Chaparrals (-22) over Cavaliers (125 to win 100)
CLEAN SWEEP!
Profit: +300, should be a great moment, but im still really high.
Day 105/$740 I need to have a big day if i have any shot of paying my bills - and possibly pick up some more pots. but NO ICE CREAM, sorry sweetie.
Bet 1: Sonics (+3) vs Trail Blazers (100 to win 80) XX
Sonics lose 105 to 100 in a heartbreaker.
Bet 2: Hornets (-5) vs Kings (200 to win 175)
Bet 3: Parlay Mavericks & Lakers both to win (400 to win 125)
Profit: +200, I attempted to go with an underdog here, the sonics bit me in the ass... but, the nestolgia of being able to bet on the SuperSonics made me feel good. Also took a stab at a "big risk - little reward" parlay, thank goodness no surprises there.
Day 106/$940
CNN told me that Elon tweeted "Doge to the moon" - all focus was on the moon - we still waiting. Damn that Elon. Maybe i should make a twitter.

I liked how i was able to take two big favorites for a risky payday, can i do that again on a larger scale? The 76ers and Grizzlies have been on an absolute hot streak. Lets go big.
Parlay: Grizzlies (ML) vs Suns & 76ers (ML) vs Hornets (640 to win 300)
Bet 2: Parlay ended and there is one more game left in the night. Throw $50 on the suns at home over the nets (50 to win 35) XX
Profit: +250, another solid day. Still a large gap to close on, is my child old enough to pay rent yet?
Day 108/$1190
Fear of running out of time, but so close to my goal! can we do it today?
Luckily all favorites except one got the win. What a solid day over hear!
Profit: +300, EASIEST day for sports betters. No upsets, all profits.
Day 109/$1490, $10 away from goal! Let's just make one solid bet and pay my bills tomorrow and not have to sweat it. Been absoutely on fire, losing two picks this week and up roughly $1190. The Mavericks have been on a roll, they are a road favorite by only 10 points. Lets have them seal this off for me.
Bet 1: Mavs (-10) over Grizzlies (bet 100 to win 90). Lost! 119-133, What happened!? shit!
Profit: -100, this seemed spiteful more than anything.
Day 110/$1390. Sink or Swim. Ice Cream or Injuries. RENT or RAMEN?
I wish I could double down on the Mavericks, but, losing it for me took away a bunch of confidence.
Bet 1:Knicks (-12) vs Cavaliers (200 to win 180)
Bet 2: 76ers (-15) vs Heat (150) to win 120)
This leaves the possiblility of the final game of the night, if needed, (Warriors vs the Stags)
In an unbelieveable turn of events, both games were never in doubt and were easy victories.
Profit: +300
Total: $1690
RENT or (ramen).
Now, if only Elon would STFU and send Doge TO THE MOON!
