Old man Dudley is one of the few bigger-time prospects in this particular draft class who has completed four full seasons of college basketball prior to coming to TMBSL. Despite having what scouts would respectfully classify as below average athleticism, you won't find a prospect more well-rounded and TMBSL-ready than Dudley. While he may be close to maxed out in terms of potential at this point, he should be able to come in and contribute at a fairly high level immediately.
Dudley will likely never be a lead scoring option or shot creator at the next level but he can contribute on offense if needed. He has improved yearly in college from the perimeter and finished his senior year with an outstanding 44% from the three point line. While that small sample success likely won't carry over to the next level, he is a very good shooter with his feet set and should be able to at least draw some defenders out of the paint when playing off the ball. He has a soft touch in the lane and some post-up moves, but he isn't very assertive in accessing that part of his game as he prefers to play it safe and keep himself out of trouble and avoid the opportunity for turnovers. He is much more comfortable playing off the ball and he is adept at moving the ball quickly and will make beautiful extra passes to find open teammates pretty regularly. He is also uniquely talented at crashing the offensive boards for quick second chance opportunities, putting up what would have been impressive offensive rebounding numbers for a big (much less a wing) while in college.
Dudley's lack of explosiveness will likely keep him from ever being an elite perimeter defender, but he is a focused defender and his footwork and positioning will keep him from being a liability on that end. His strength and basketball IQ will also likely allow him to be a bit versatile and switch onto some smaller and less potent big men if necessary. He's never going to be a shot-blocker but he does have quick hands and creates some turnovers for a guy without the quickness to challenge opponents' passing lanes.
