Green comes to TMBSL after an award-winning tenure at Georgetown. After being an All-Freshman and Rookie of the Year, Green made All Big-East twice before winning Big East POY in his final season, as well as many tournament honors as he led Georgetown to a Conference Tournament win and Final Four appearance before bowing out to Greg Oden and Mike Conley of the Buckeyes.
The biggest thing that excites scouts in regards to Green is his versatility. He is a walking mismatch as he has the skills to play on the perimeter, but he also has some post skills and could even moonlight as a small-ball big at the next level. Scouts describe him as an above average passer and ball-handler for his size (although he sometimes has a tendency to force passes), and he was a solid shooter in college, making 36% of 3 attempts per game from 3 as well as 70% of his free throws as a collegian. The biggest hurdle for him in that aspect is going to be confidence, as despite his success in college, he still isn't completely comfortable in pulling the trigger on his shot unless he's fairly open. He's a springy and smart player, and he showed a high basketball IQ to create easy finishing opportunities in the paint that he converted efficiently. His post-up game could use some development, but he will find other ways to score in the paint and could be a real problem for teams as a pick and roll screen man with the ability to stop and pop or roll hard to the rim.
Defensively, Green does have enough small forward skills to hang on the perimeter at the next level while he also can defend players in the on the post fairly proficiently as well. He has a tendency to gamble at times and get himself out of position and his quickness isn't quite elite enough for that not to cause problems on the perimeter at times. He showed the ability to block shots and that and his rebounding proficiency could make him fairly unique as a small forward at the next level.
