Wilt Chamberlain C 7'1" 280 23 Kansas
Chamberlain is simply unstoppable inside, combining eye-popping strength with deft trickery that would be worthy of "instant" replay on every possession if such a thing existed. College opponents routinely double and even triple teamed the Big Dipper, so some scouts have concerns that his gaudy assist totals will lead to gaud awful turnover totals against pro teams that don't deploy such rinky dink defenses... but every scout has concerns with the shooting form. A player who is as dominant inside simply has to improve a woeful free throw shot, and forget about spotting up from any distance. Chamberlain's excellent top speed and verticality allow him to vacuum up every rebound opportunity on both ends of the court - the very very few who can match him for strength can only watch helplessly as he easily outruns and outjumps them, and vice versa. A lack of top level acceleration limits his defensive effectiveness on the perimeter, and an earnest commitment to never fouling out sometimes leads him to not give his all in the post, but he will fill up the highlight reel with weakside rejections and cross court interceptions.
