Law comes to TMBSL after a career in which he showed significant development and helped elevate the Texas A&M basketball program from the absolute cellar as a freshman to a team that secured a #3 seed and was the #9 team in the nation during the final AP poll. Scouts expect Law to elevate those around him at the next level as he is starting to become more of a floor general than anything else. While he was known as a combo guard earlier in his career, Law has developed into a player who will pass up a decent look for the sake of a better one. He looks to be the best pure PG of the class and one that works the offense in the half court deliberately, only penetrating when he senses it will lead to the opportunity to create a shot for a teammate. He is an adept handler of the ball and will help keep your turnover rate down as a team as he doesn't force the issue and makes the smart play. He has a functional jump shot and has shown the ability to be efficient from the three point line as a senior, but scouts are still skeptical how that will translate in larger sample sizes.
Defensively, he has the tools with excellent size and wingspan for the position to turn into a plus option here, but show far he has not been as engaged defensively as he has on offense in college. He also hasn't shown much of a desire to impact the game as a rebounder either. Law is also a bit lanky and could stand to add some strength as a professional. As a four year player who has already shown a lot of development in his game over his college career in a class of several one and done options, there's more limited upside potential with Law.
