Shooting, shooting, shooting. The man can shoot from Charleston to Wheeling and back again. Not the biggest, tallest, or fastest... but it doesn't matter... he gets the shot off from anywhere on the court and gets squared up and drains it. Exploits the threat of the jumper to get to the rim even without a great first step, and finishes well when he gets there, but could stand to polish his form from the free throw line. Can easily serve as the 2nd ball-handler on any unit, but doesn't have the handling to run the point full time. Ferocious defender, amasses eye popping counting stats given his athletic limitations, but his aggression can take him out of good fundamental position, and just doesn't have the size to compete in the post.

The kid can do it all. Score, pass, rebound... well, he can at least do those 3 things very well. That's most of the game, right? He prefers the mid-range and getting to the basket for his shots or passes, so he won't spread the floor well. Terrific strength and uses it very well on the offensive end, but surprisingly meek on defense. Got measurably worse in three years of college, so future growth is unlikely.

Smart, cerebral, and electric, Wilkens is your prototypical point guard who wants to make his teammates better. A smooth handle and highlight reel passes are the norm, not the exception, for Wilkens. Also not a stat padder, often making the pass that leads to the pass that makes an easy bucket. Not the best leaper, he hesitates to go into the paint to attack and prefers to let bigs be bigs and guards be guards.

A credible shot blocker and a beast on the offensive glass, Bellamy ran through Big10 opponents all season. However, like fellow midwestern big Nate Thurmond, his game is very much limited to the paint on both ends of the court. Bellamy scores the majority of his points cleaning up the misses of teammates and has never been the primary focus of an offense, but has the touch to be a threat if given the opportunity to do so. Unlikely to add a facilitator's toolkit or much else to his game at this point.

DeBusschere scores off the charts on vertical and burst athleticism, utilizes them to fantastic effect on both backboards, and practically apparates around the court on defense - opposing perimeter players won't ever get a clean look against Big D, although he's below average at generating turnovers. Prefers to operate in the mid-range on offense, so 3pt shooting may not be his forte, and covers up some surprisingly mediocre finishing at the rim by drawing the defender and making the pass. Many scouts see him as a plug and play type, but are unsure of his growth potential.

A modern forward with a jumper, Lucas is strong enough to hold his own on both sides of the court, but agile enough to score away from the basket. Well-known for following his shot, Lucas manages to keep possession alive through tips and deflections in rebounding scrums. Defensively he'll be a liability, as he won't fill up the stats sheet due to short arms and a lack of vertical explosiveness, and is unlikely to see much growth in those or any other department.

The Amazing Zelmo (trademark pending) is a finished product who pairs a very crisp jumper with good moves in the post to generate plenty of points, although his scoring totals are inflated a bit considering he doesn't ever, for any reason, pass the ball to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what. Definitely not the man to grab a board and lead the break, Beaty doesn't enjoy holding onto the ball long, as he has had troubles with maintaining possession even after a single dribble.

A tenacious perimeter defender, his footwork is excellent and his hands are fast. He'll anticipate moves to draw many charges and only the craftiest will be able to juke him. He has a decent jumpshot, but hasn't been asked to do much else scoring thus far and for good reason - not a natural finisher, and a dyed in the wool natural passer, puts most point guards to shame with his understanding of angles and defensive schemes. Undersized for his position, he won't be an all-world rebounder, but indefatigable on the court and in the weight room, the kind of all around unselfish player that keeps coaches happy.

A beast in the middle, Thurmond scores through brute force at the rim, knocking smaller players aside like gnats. Not agile enough for a drop step or any spin-move, he prefers the bulldozer approach to attacking the basket. Hasn't ever attempted a shot from further than 10' in college, but he'll make free throws adequately. On top of his prodigious strength and size he has a very good first and second jump, will dominate the boards and rack up the blocks too. The problem will be whether he can add finesse to his post game now that he'll routinely go up against players he can't just push around and/or jump over.
