Ranking the teams best positioned to close out some wins before EOL:\
(6.0 champions gets an icon next to their name)
Seattle Supersonics - The best team in the west until further notice. Stephen took awhile to heat up but he proved to be the correct pick. Terrance Bailey is an insane backup. Blocks on the wing and efficient play nearly everywhere makes the Supersonics a nearly perfect team. Has a #2 pick coming up soon to add to it.
Indiana Pacers - Heebs is solid and here for the last few. He nabbed cousins and should immediately have a .300 fracs team until he retires. If Camby turns out to be good he could be a perennial contender until #fold. Has a #1 pick in 46 to ride into the sunset with.
New Orleans Jazz - Blake Griffin, extremely solid wingplay, and a knack for finding blocks and shooters keeps the Jazz in contention. The #1 pick in 3044 gives them a chance to ride into the end at the top similar to the teams above.
Carolina Cougars - A scrappy team and GM, no top picks over the next few years but has proven time and time again he doesn’t really need them. Bad playoff luck, or is there something that needs adjusting? Probably not enough time in the league that we will ever know, but no one would be surprised if the Cougars won 2 or more titles before its all said and done.
Portland Trailblazers - A team neck-and-neck with the Cougars in talent. Majic has developed into an extremely consistent GM that just isn’t putting it together all the way when it really matters. I think his teams have a lot of interesting talents and elite players but lack the consistent high efficiency scoring punch needed in the dense league for the next few seasons. Could turn it around and easily grab a few titles.
Vancouver Grizzles - Druce is a grizzled GM that could easily win 2 or 0 titles before the end. Always able to put together a competent team, but sometimes it takes digging into the weeds and Druce has bigger fish to fry than 6.0. If he puts his sword to the grindstone he could easdily turn this current squad into a consistent contender for a few years and has some good draft assets to ride it out until draft class exhaustion.
Toronto Raptors - Could make some noise and grab a title, but needs a franchise overhaul in the talent department quickly for that to happen with how concentrated the league has become.
Pittsburgh Pipers - Similar story here, the league is getting better year after year and just staying the same means your team gets worse. Can bA make the moves to grab one before the fat lady sings?
Cleveland Cavaliers - Sap has the assets and the know-how to overhaul this team and get into the Finals, but will other GMs work with him enough in these lean times for it to get done? Is Sap just sapped? Glad he has stuck around either way.
Denver Nuggets - Fason is on coast-it mode but its better than quit mode
Atlanta Hawks - king has built a solid team that can make some noise in the playoffs, but isn’t a consistent contender or division winner. That’s enough to win a ring sometimes though, so it’s definitely in the realm of possibility if he can keep it up.
Charlotte Hornets - lol
San Antonio Spurs - Thanks for playing pointy it was good leaguing with you
