Scouts are buzzing over young O'Neal, whose game is a bit of a throwback to big men of yesteryear. He's a low-post man through and through, including the defensive side of the game, where he excels as a one-on-one player in the post. He isn't quick to help or react to screens, and doesn't have the vertical burst to generate weakside blocks, but can lockdown opponents solo. Like many bigs, his handling is weak and he won't ever be a player to stretch out past 15 feet, but he'll make enough free throws to keep defenses honest. Should have plenty of time to add weight to a skinny frame, which will help shore up some middling performance on the defensive backboards.
