the league needs a new commissioner for 7.0. many people have talked about wanting change for change's sake, and this is not something i would be interested in doing, so i wouldn't do much of a job of it. what i do do a good job on is spreadsheet stuff, so whomever takes over will be welcome to whatever spreadsheets they want, and i'd also be happy to help design any for future sim league use, whether for this software or another

i need to be clear that this is not a ruse or gambit. this is not for people to try and get me to stay on, this is not done out of a feeling of underappreciation or spite, this is not a marker for me to cash in if 7.0 does a 3.0, this is especially not an invitation to rehash any or all of the old arguments. i am just not a good fit for what the job requires for 7.0, and that's that

we have about six years left on the domain lease and about nine months left of 6.0, and i do not intend to curtail either. think that about covers anything, any questions let me know

So I've been kicking around the idea of volunteering to commish 7.0. I reached out to eric and he said he has instructions etc. so that what he does can be replicated. I think a couple of things would be necessary to ensure some degree of success, the first of which would be getting a solid GM base back in for a new league. I am open to change if people are up for it. Player creation would be a bit different under me, but I'd also try to learn from past mistakes in this area. I'm going to start a new thread to see who all is even interested in 7.0.
