Grambling State
Willis Reed quickly made a name for himself at Grambling State, a HBCU, leading the Tigers to one NAIA title and three SAC championships. He is a fierce, dominating, and physical force on both ends of the floor. He makes up for his lack of height with great athleticism, and gets respectable averages in the box score on the defensive side of the ball. His elite hops and keen mind allow him to corral rebounds on both sides of the ball over the other team. He utilizes his fantastic strength to stop prospective post ups cold, but needs to add post moves to succeed against professional defenses, and as a respectable FT shooter already he has a high efficiency ceiling. Downsides? There aren't many, but as much as teammates love his do it all help defense, he could stand to give them the ball now and again on offense. Reed improved dramatically in college, and scouts are confident this will continue in the pros barring injury.
