Incredible leaper, DeRozan's vertical is reportedly 40 inches plus, which is evident as his head is even with the rim on many of his dunks. Has all but mastered the art of the mid-range game. Shoots the ball well from inside 19 feet. However, his range is hard-capped at that spot, as he has shown no acumen or desire from 3pt range. Shot only 17% from three in his one season at USC, attempting only 1 per game, but the form is there to become a solid shooter from deep. Already has a strong body and will only get stronger as his frame continues to fill out, so he’ll be able to finish development without any major red flags in the physicality department, but does not look to dominate on defense or the glass. His on court presence leaves much to be desired at this stage of his development. He plays hard, but rarely full throttle. His ball handling is very solid. Rarely, if ever, takes more than one dribble to his left without pulling up or spinning back right. Very predictable with the ball in his hands but defenders still can't rip him. Not a playmaker for others at this point but also shows exceptional potential there.
