A real prodigy, earning his Doctorate in Basketball in only 2 years at UMass, Erving enters the league as one of the most exciting players in the class. Known for his high flying, Erving ran roughshod over the "Yankee" Conference and amassed an absurd number of rebounds. Even against legit competition he should be a very good rebounding wing. He's a solid jump shooter, and while he doesn't have true three point range he hits enough to keep defenses honest, especially when they live in justified fear of getting yammed on if they play him tight. His passing is subpar but that doesn't keep him from trying, like a lot. Luckily he brings the same energy to defense, and he just about manages to break even on turnovers with the counting stats he amasses. Erving's present is incandescent, but scouts expect him to decline quickly to merely very good, so it would be a shame if he wastes his historically great years in a minor league.
