Theo Ratliff PF 6'10" 235 22 Wyoming
A wiry, springy fellow... Ratliff will immediately be seen as a project by most GMs, needing to add core strength and weight to his frame. However, when they see past that, they should see a relative unknown coming out of the plains of Laramie who has a ton to contribute in the pros. He is a preternatural shot blocker and swatted more than 5 shots a game this season, and has averaged more than 4 per contest for the last 3 years as a starter. His offensive game is a bit of a mystery. He's an effective finisher around the rim, especially cleaning up off of misses, and hits his free throws, but just never puts up the volume you'd expect, made even more inexplicable by his astonishingly low pass rate. Overall his rebounding game is confusing as well, as stated, he is great at cleaning up misses and keeping possessions alive... but he really doesn't get many defensive rebounds at all. Is this because he's always trying to block shots? Probably, and his hyper focus also limits his generation of steals. That's the risk you take with Ratliff, who might, along with Stoudamire, be the biggest boom/bust candidate of our lottery profile players.
