A sturdy big man out of Beaver Country, Shelton's calling card in the pros will be one of physique over skill. He's strong, very very hard to move in the post, and will fight beaver tooth and nail for offensive boards for easy putbacks. However... he's just not that athletic in terms of speed and leaping, so a lot of finesse skills just aren't his thing. His skillset is especially deficient from 3pt range, where he has never attempted a shot and certainly won't start now, but he's solid from the free throw line and a good stealer of the basketball. He may not grow a great deal at the next level, but he's not necessarily a finished product either.
