Scouts are intrigued by Billups' almost flawless jump shot, which will make him an immediate threat at the next level. He uses his quickness to give himself the space he needs to get his jumper off. His range extends past the three point line, and with time could become a devastating threat from distance during his career. More of a scheme passer, not likely to record many assists but his careful ball movement inspires and results in plenty of easy baskets for his team, including utilizing his own craftiness at the rim.
Billups doesn't offer much on the glass and, while he's a solid perimeter defender, is unlikely to generate many defensive counting stats. He's not particularly strong and isn't much of a leaper, but possesses an unrivaled work ethic, making it very plausible for him to bounce around the league before blossoming later in his career.
