Tim ThomasSF6'1024020VillanovaTim Thomas' playing style is almost the exact opposite of what you would expect of someone with such impressive size. He'd rather shoot from three rather than attack the basket and settles for jump shots an almost frustrating amount. He prefers not to get into the dirty areas which means he is a poor rebounder, despite being an above average athlete. He possesses decent lateral quickness and his length makes him a menace on the perimeter and for weak side blocks, but you don't want him defending man to man under any circumstances. Thomas avoids passing and, despite his height, keeps his dribble low which keeps his turnovers down. As a relatively young player, he would seem to possess a great deal of potential which may entice some teams enough to take a chance on him and the rare skillset not seen in most small forwards, especially not of his size, but a pronounced lack of sticktoitivity puts a hard ceiling on future development.
