Danny Fortson's calling card in TMBSL will be on the glass, as he's a tenacious rebounder at both ends of the floor and, due to his tremendous strength, he should see those abilities translate well at the next level. He's a surprisingly good free throw shooter and, unlike most big men of his stature, is more adept from the mid-range than he is in the paint, where he struggles to score. While he is ferocious on the glass he has a bad habit of bringing the ball low as he lands, making him very vulnerable to turnovers despite rarely passing.
Where Fortson struggles in addition to his offensive acumen in the paint is on the defensive end. He's more focused on grabbing rebounds than staying with his man and is unlikely to ever rack up many counting stats. He's not a particularly great athlete and despite, his good jump shot, is no threat from deep.
Scouts don't expect that Fortson has a great deal of room for growth.
