Ron Artest 20 6-7 233 SF St. Johns The artist formerly known as Ron Artest is a defensive stopper on the perimeter. He did a little of everything for St. Johns in his two years there, he's got good strength and does well on offense against smaller, weaker players, but reliance on superior athleticism won't cut it in the pros and he's shown poor skill finishing at the rim. Decent jumper though he struggles from the line and his range won't extend past the arc. Averaged 4 assists a game his final year at St. Johns so he's a pretty solid passer for a wing player, but also has a tendency to turn it over more than he should. Should be a rotation regular if only for his defense. Blocks some shots, has the ability and potential to lead the league in steals, but will likely be a 3rd scoring option at best on a good team. His pacifistic approach to offense extends to the offensive glass, and tries only a little harder to secure the defensive rebound. Scouts are torn on his potential given his already polished defensive prowess and doubts over him ever becoming a truly efficient scorer.
