Doug CollinsSG6'618022Illinois StateDemonstrating a flawless midrange jump shot, Collins averaged a remarkable 29.1 points per game during his college career, made especially notable due to the high efficiency with which he scored those points. While he isn't exceptionally strong or a great leaper, Collins showed excellent lateral quickness that allowed him to get past his man and finish with a variety of moves while attacking the basket. His ability to hit from the elbows or get around his man if they played him too tightly has scouts excited about his ability to create for himself at the next level. Also showed the ability to generate a few assists for his teammates when he was double-teamed but the handle needs work for his passing to be a net positive. Collins won't offer much by way of counting stats on defense, but his excellent footwork and coordination does allow him to cause his opponent fits on the perimeter. He's a slightly below average rebounder as well, though that may be a product of his college coaches wanting him to focus almost entirely on putting the ball in the basket. Not a three point shooter at all. Like Walton, Collins has suffered some injuries to this point in his career and may have somewhat limited potential because of it.
