Maurice LucasPF6'921522MarquetteMaurice Lucas appeals to a certain type of scout that sees someone capable of revolutionizing the power forward position. On offense, he knocks down shots from the mid-range consistently and rarely plays with his back to the basket. He's able to use his quickness to give himself the small amount of time he needs to get his mid-range jumper off, or attack the basket with a floater or runner, which makes him an effective scorer in the paint even without a refined back-to-the-basket game. Utilizes his quickness well to find seams for the offensive rebound, but just doesn't have the strength to compete on the defensive glass. Other than his unique offensive style, Lucas is pretty average everywhere else. He'll rack up a few assists and is fundamentally sound on defense, though he's unlikely to amass a ton of blocks or steals. He's not particularly strong or a great leaper, which keeps his overall scoring volume low. Scouts agree that Lucas' potential is only average and that he doesn't have a particularly high ceiling or low floor in any aspect of his game.
