one thing i try to stress is how stupid bullshit garbage the choices on publishing covid data are, no offense. recently the source i was using that published pediatric covid deaths with a week delay stopped updating, and redirected to a cdc source that published them with a month or two delay. this is what the first source looked like through march 3rd 2022
this is what the updated version looks like
instead of 661 children dying from covid in the year leading up to march 3rd, it was actually 1459. whoops! and while the biggest spike pictured is when we let the deadlier omicron variant spread, the last two weeks saw 108 pediatric deaths, so we're actually on track to blow right past 2,000 annual deaths of children
comfortably the #2 cause of death for children
or three uvalde massacres a week, every week
except there's 100,000,000 of us standing outside the door doing nothing
