As a senior last year, Dennis Hopson established himself as the best pure scoring guard in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. A fantastic athlete with an incredible motor, the transition to the pros raises some Buckeye scarlet flags - doesn't have pro three point range, struggled to finish over and secure the defensive backboard around pro tier bigs, tries too hard with the pass and will get picked off by pro defenders.
One area in no doubt is his effort on the defensive end, where he'll pile up counting stats. As a rookie this enthusiasm will fall prey to the best playcallers, but he should still net positive from game one.
With the way that Hopson's game improved significantly during each of his college years, scouts are confident that he can continue on the same trajectory as a pro.
