Through Kevin Johnson's four years in college, he showed exceptional development on his jump shot to accompany his impressive ability to attack the basket, although he only dabbles from the three point line. He's a great leaper which allows him to score even among players who are a foot taller than he is. His excellent passing ability also has scouts very excited about his ability to be a more traditional point guard and fit in to multiple types of systems at the next level.
While his size hasn't hindered him when it comes to scoring down low, he knows his limitations and doesn't crash the offensive glass, but does a decent job on the other backboard. He also uses his exceptional quickness to swipe balls at an impressive rate. As a high-usage player who shoots and passes often, Johnson does see a fair amount of turnovers.
Much of Johnson's game is already developed, but as he showed a good deal of progress during his college years, there may still be a bit of untapped potential left.
