Teams are excited about the prospect of adding Horace Grant to their squads as they see him as a fundamentally solid prospect with no major holes in his game, but also acknowledge that he's unlikely to ever lead the league in any single category either. He'll score efficiently down low on putbacks and easy buckets but won't ever be someone who excels at creating his own shot. Though he doesn't take threes he'll get to the line frequently and hit his free throws at a decent clip, and he never tries to do too much, avoiding turnovers very well.
While Grant possesses above average strength, he's not particularly athletic, which will put a ceiling on his scoring and defensive counting numbers. He'll grab a block and steal here and there as he's positionally sound, but he won't ever put up remarkable defensive numbers. And while he's expected to be extremely efficient, he'll never be the lead guy on a good team due to his inability (or lack of interest) in creating for himself.
