A lightning-quick player who loves to shoot, shoot, and shoot some more, Coby White is listed as a point guard but some wonder if he'd be better suited playing off the ball, as he compensates for mediocre playmaking by not passing in the first place. He's great off the dribble and as a spot-up shooter and can sometimes use his quickness to score down low, though his lack of strength and leaping ability likely means he's going to have a tougher time scoring inside at the next level. He's a decent rebounder for a point guard and, due to his quickness, does a solid job of staying in front of his man on the perimeter.
If White is a team's primary ball-handler, don't be surprised if his turnovers escalate. His quickness is a blessing and a curse as he plays out of control at times. There are questions around his ability to hit from three at the next level as he has a low release that's tough to get over opposing defenders, and hasn't shown much appetite to improve his game.
