Make the PF Great Again!
Proposal:
Drop Jumpshot Cap for Centers to 75 Increase Shotblocking Cap for PFs to 60

I'm fine with the latter but 85 to 75 on jumper seems really significant. And if we bump the shot blocking cap for PFs to have it equal to centers, why are we lowering the center jumper cap to be lower than power forwards? Wouldn't the idea be to make them equal in both areas?
I think Eric did a pretty extensive analysis of this and lowered the PF shot blocking cap because they see larger growth than centers in other areas.

One or the other. Not both. And like ank said, I’d want Eric to determine what to drop the C cap to so that it is fair.

I like the double 3's. Adds flavor.
I would drop the center js cap from 85 to value X.
With eric making the call of what value X would be, 80/75 whatever.
But you don't also alleviate the lower PF blocking cap. You just do the Center JS cap.

I think Eric did a pretty extensive analysis of this and lowered the PF shot blocking cap because they see larger growth than centers in other areas. From what I’ve seen in the mechanics thread, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The reason I thought increasing the shot blocking cap for PF made sense is that PF and C have the same positional eligibility (it’s not like PF can play on the wing or something) and that PF doesn’t grow faster than C or provide any other advantage that I am aware of. But then ank suggested reducing the C jump shot cap instead of increasing PF shot block cap and I thought that may also be a suitable solution. Basically seems like being a C is more advantageous than being a PF right now and I’d like to see that evened out a little.

Then it may have just been implemented to counteract the "stretch 4" capability that PFs have via the double 3pt upgrades.

odin came up with the shot blocking caps, i don't know what his rationale was
the positions are all in pretty good balance now and it's the same as it has been since the caps, which is bigs slightly ahead of everyone else overall and slightly behind wings in pts/tsa. as such i'm very leery of bringing big pts/tsa further down or pushing bigs higher overall, how would people feel about lowering the center shot blocking cap instead?

I generally think less shot blocking is good.
