Before we get going, I want to discuss the roster Vassell is being test in. I have a couple rosters, but the first roster does have legit TMBSL builds, and he is playing alongside really good players such as Charles Barkley and Lebron James. The 2nd Roster i dummied down the big men's inside scoring to see what can happen if he plays on a roster ank and 20s like to build. We also need to remember that he is playing against CPU type teams that FBB software spit out.

As we take a good look at the newest 1.1 in TMBSL we immediately see several strengths and a few weaknesses. I would say on first glance He has elite scoring and handles but lacks the athletics and rebounding. Depending on how TCs fall he could even be a really good bleals guy. We will see throughout the tests what can happen during his rookie contract. I know ank will put all upgrades into his scoring and the test will be a good indicator if athletics really matter in TMBSL. (Just so we are clear folks this is a test it is not accurate information we can just hang our hat on. Things could be better while sometimes it could be worst)
Next we have Devin Vassells first test TC. I saved this picture under bad TC and tested this one the most to see what worst case scenario really could be here. After a few more tests i don't think this is worst but it somewhere in the middle. His inside and 3pt bumped a tad where his jumper went down 2. It is interesting to see the two really low athletic skills did not move up or down. I've always worried those stats are what gives your player volume and it helps with FG% but that is here say.
This is the post upgrade scout for Vassell that will be testing. I believe i put +20 into inside and finished out the rest into outside scoring skills.
Alrighty before we do the stat test here is the roster that is surrounding Devin Vassell as a rookie. I think it's a bit stacked but he needs to be on a stacked roster to win a title right now. I upgraded Barkley +15 Jumper +32 3pt and he is the back up wing for both positions.
Lets get to some stats now. This 1st Test doesn't look promising for rookie Vassell even though his scoring grades are amazing. I do have him as a #2 option for the first few tests. I will later show you the year 4 #1 Option test after we go through 3 different sims with Vassell as a rookie. I think him continuing to grow and getting his scoring grades even better you will see him shine.
Test #2 is alot better than shooting sub 44% from the field. He is shooting about 325+ 3pointers a game in all these tests. It's just something to think about when his jumper and 3 ball is so good but has low quickness and strength.
His 3rd Test is alot closer to his 1st Test run. It's a bit scary his FG% is so low but like i've said. This is just a test i run for my own players before i draft them.
Now that we've completed our first 3 seasons as a rookie i always auto sim 3 years to his last season on his rookie contract. I like to look at progressions and see where they could be when that time comes to decide if the player is a max guy or not. I think his skills have improved enough that yes you like what he's grown into here. 99/81/100 scoring is amazing and i'm sure your thinking i wonder what his stats could be now with that? No real movement on athletic skills so that kind of sucks.
Vassell's FG% have increased and his volume has increased some as well. You'd hope to be able to get him some more shots but messing with options and adding the right guy to your roster would help that. I think the way ank builds out his roster he should be just fine wih his volume if his scoring skills come to this. It does make you wonder because he should be scoring more.
The 2nd year 4 test is nicer and i'm sure ank likes it alot better too. His production is up and it's very promising if this test is going to be closer to what he can be in the future.
His 3rd test is probably the best and thats promising. His production is good but what's most important to me is his MPG. It shows the software likes him so the low quickness and strength isn't taking his minutes away. 2 Bleals is good but i don't think he'll ever be an average rebounder so he's stuck at SG for his career.
Now lets take a look after i nerfed the inside scoring of the 3 bigs that play with him. He still has shooters around him but i wanted to see what happened with some D/R bigs on the roster. It looks alot better and it's what you hope to get out of him, especially a player you selected at 1.1.
I know most would be interested to see how many times he shot especially 3PA / 3PM. So I also included a stats page from the non shooting big roster.
It just wouldn't be a true test to just get 1 TC and call it quits. I did about 15 Test TCs and most were similar to a few different ones so i picked out a couple that were interested.
Why just test 1 TC? So of course, i went ahead and kept the same TC and skipped until the last year of his rookie deal. Just to be clear this is pre-upgrades all the way through. I thought it would be interesting for Ank to see what it looks like bare ass naked for 4 years a few times. Very minimal improvements throughout his scoring skills. Rebounding not too bad also stealing and shot blocking improved but thats not what you want if your scoring is stuck in the mud.
This is another example of his inside dropping a bit but his jumper and 3pt doing good things for him. I would almost say that may be a little more important to get over the Jumper cap but that's another argument.
Now the last picture and the last glance at his 3rd test TC. I may just like this build the best with a 92 jumper and still sitting in the 70s inside. I should have probably tested the stats on this one but we still need some imagination to see what happens.
I hope you enjoyed the Test Session and if you ever want your player to be put in the spotlight of dirt's test tube just let me know. I would happily do anything to give us some content and to help build tmbsl better. Thank you for the votes my fellow general managers! Have a bless day and goodnight.
