Another shooting guard who is more effective inside than outside, Doug Christie will make his money at the next level playing outstanding perimeter defense, racking up steals and even quite a few blocks for his position. He's not much of a scorer and his ceiling is probably 15-18 points per game at the next level.
One thing teams are excited about with regards to Christie is his ability to act as a secondary point guard. He's a great passer and should accumulate a good number of assists. However, teams know he'd rather pass than shoot, which sometimes means he becomes predictable to his opponent, which can lead to a few turnovers.
All of the tools appear to be there to make Christie a solid mid-range scorer, but he doesn't look like he'll ever be more than mildly reliable from three. It's also unlikely he ever becomes a great rebounder, though he won't be terrible there either.
