Obi ToppinPF6'922022DaytonA late-blooming prospect who seemingly came out of nowhere this past college season, Obi Toppin got onto scouts' radars due to his incredible strength and leaping ability but is certainly more than his natural gifts. He was an acceptable 70% from the line and hit enough threes to keep opponents telling white lies if not exactly honest, which should give teams hope that he won't be one-dimensional on the offensive end of the floor. Despite his high usage last year, he didn't have many turnover problems and made adequate decisions with the ball. Toppin's lack of lateral quickness puts a ceiling on his defensive (and overall) growth prospects and, despite his strength and jumping ability, he's a below average rebounder, grabbing just 7.5 per game last year in almost 32 minutes. It's unexpected that he'll be much of a contributor on the defensive side of the ball, counting stats or otherwise.
