Tyrese HaliburtonPG6'518520Iowa StateTyrese Haliburton has shown all of the ability needed to become a lead guard in TMBSL. At Iowa State, his height and length allowed him to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates as he averaged 6.5 assists as a sophomore while hitting 50% of his field goals, 42% of his threes, and 82% of his free throws. He showed TMBSL range and should have no problem hitting from deep once he hears his name called on draft night. He put up eye-popping stats all over the floor, really, as he grabbed almost six boards and 2.5 steals per game. Questions around Haliburton center primarily around his thin frame. He's not a strong player by any means and that is expected to limit his defensive abilities. He's been an incredibly efficient player in college, especially considering his usage, but he's unlikely to be as effective in the lane as a pro due to his thinner frame. Despite his height, he's not much of a leaper either, which means he may struggle driving against the Myles Turners and Kareem Abdul-Jabbars of the world. He's exceptionally quick, however, which may help offset some of the limitations listed above, and pro guards expecting to find him an easy target on defense are in for a rude awakening. Considering the leap he made between his freshman and sophomore year and the fact that he's still just 20 years old, scouts expect that Haliburton should see solid growth during his TMBSL career.
