Tyrus ThomasPF6'921520LSUScouts are drooling over the prospect of adding Tyrus Thomas to their squad next year as he's one of the most athletic big men we've seen enter the draft in a number of years. It's almost a sure bet he'll win a dunk contest in his TMBSL career and he's lightning fast getting up and down the court. He isn't the biggest, but he possesses long arms that allow him to get off a turnaround jumper from 12-15 feet that is surprisingly refined for a player of his age. Those long arms make him a plus shot blocker but he knows it, and chasing blocks severely hampers his defensive rebounding. As one might expect of someone with his athletic gifts, he hasn't been forced to develop much of an offensive post repertoire to date. Outside of the aforementioned turnaround jumper, most of his points come on putbacks and fast-break dunks. He's not the strongest and will need to put on some bulk to be a true post threat at the next level. There is a consensus among scouts that Thomas has the highest potential in the class and adding weight and gaining strength will be crucial to reaching his lofty ceiling.
