Brandon RoySG6'621522WashingtonNicknamed "The Natural", Brandon Roy was the engine the led the #4 scoring offense in college basketball last season. As a senior, he knocked down over 50% of his field goal attempts and 40% of threes while averaging over 20 points per game despite drawing the opposition's toughest defenders night in and night out. His shooting ability developed in each of his four seasons on Montlake and eventually made him one of the college game's more dangerous shooters from mid-range. The offense at Washington ran through Roy and he was able to create opportunities for both himself and others and, due to his intelligence, he rarely made mistakes or turned the ball over. On the other side of the ball, Roy's somewhat limited athleticism means he likely never makes an all-defensive team and his rebounding is merely average. He's not the strongest or greatest leaper, though he displays adequate quickness relative to his peers. At this point, scouts are mixed on Roy's potential for growth. He's a smart player who gives a ton of effort and is willing to learn but he possesses some natural limitations. Either way, the PAC-10 Player of the Year should, at the very least, be an efficient scorer who can drop 20 per game.
