Paul MillsapPF6'726021Louisiana TechThe main thing that stands out about Paul Millsap is his tremendous ability on the glass as he led the NCAA in rebounding in each of his three seasons, becoming the first player in NCAA history to accomplish the feat. His fantastic strength, positioning, and awareness lead scouts to believe these abilities will translate at the next level on the offensive glass. He's a strong defender down low and able to hold position well, though his size means that he's unlikely to replicate the shot blocking numbers he posted in college (2 per game) once he joins a TMBSL team, and the effort he expends to stay in front of his man will limit his production on the defensive backboards. Offensively, Millsap was tough to defend down low in college, but that was mostly due to his strength and leaping ability. His free throw shot needs work and his height will likely prevent him from being a major offensive force down low, but he did flirt with a three point shot that could develop at the professional range. He turned the ball over a bit at Louisiana Tech, but it's expected that won't be much of an issue in the pros when he's not the focal point of the offense. With Millsap, teams know his height limits his potential, but he'll put in the work on both sides of the ball.
