Darrell GriffithSG6'4"19021LouisvilleDarrell "Dr. Dunkenstein" Griffith may be one of the most interesting prospects in this entire draft. He plays organized basketball with the flair of a streetball player. He is an exceptional athlete, combining explosive leaping ability with elite strength and speed for his size. He loves to jump passing lanes for steals on defense to hunt down opportunities to turn transition into his own personal dunk contest. He is a connoisseur of the creating highlight reel plays, combining flashy passes with emphatic dunks and disheartening opponents with the occasional emphatic blocked shot. The question is, does all of this translate into someone who can play within the team concept at the highest level of organized basketball. Does his penchant for flashy passes turn into turnovers at the next level? Does he get himself out of position on defense while he hunts for the highlight reel or is he willing to do the dirty work? He certainly has the athletic ability and upside to turn himself into one of the best, but is he willing to tone down his personality to make that happen?
