Brooks might be one of the most decorated prospects of this draft. A three time Conference POY, Brooks capped his senior year at La Salle by winning the NABC's Player of the Year Award and was named a Consensus First-Team All-American. Despite being only age 21 at the time of the draft and relatively young for his class, Brooks is a four-year starter and a rather polished player at this stage of his development. He's ready-made for TMBSL and is a safe pick relative to his classmates, especially for those GMs looking to add an instant contributor.
He was a 20+ PPG scorer every year in his college career and is among the top players ever in terms of college scoring. Scouts expect him to continue to score at a high rate on the next level. He's an emphatic dunker and certainly is capable in the paint, which he'll need to be at the next level as his shot mechanics are merely serviceable and scouts don't expect him to be much of a threat beyond the arc. He does his work rather efficiently though, finishing high percentage looks and using his strength to get to the line where he shot a passable 70% in his college career.
While Brooks played as more of a 4 in college, he'll be expected to transition to more of a perimeter player at the next level. Defending on the perimeter may be a bit of a learning curve for him, but he has the speed and agility to do so and his strength will allow him to bully some wings. He can switch down into the post and hold his own there. Scouts expect him to continue to rebound with the same fervor he did in college when he averaged 12 boards a game for his career. Playing more on the perimeter means he won't be able to put up the same otherworldly numbers in TMBSL, but most evaluators expect that talent to stand out and make him special relative to other wing players.
