John WallPG6'321020KentuckyA truly electrifying player, we haven't seen a point guard that possesses the athleticism of John Wall in years. He may be the fastest player in TMBSL from the first moment he steps on the floor, but what is most impressive is his ability to remain in control while playing at such breakneck speeds. He's able to get to the rim with rare effectiveness of a player his size and finish from in close with either hand or kick it out to set up teammates for an open shot. In addition to his athletic gifts, he has great size that allows him to be a very good rebounder for his position and disrupt passing lanes as he generated almost two steals per game in his lone college season. Wall's athleticism has meant he hasn't really needed to refine his jump shot and he isn't a threat from beyond the arc at these early stages of his career. While his speed and leaping ability are generational - maybe the best we've ever seen - his upper body strength is limited at this point and may need improvement if he's going to be able to absorb the heavy amounts of contact his game calls for at the next level. An adept ball-handler, Wall loves to pass and sometimes prefers the spectacular play which can lead to a few turnovers, though good coaching at the next level should rein this in. With his athletic gifts and competitive edge, Wall should have great potential for growth at the next level.
