DeMarcus CousinsC6'1027020KentuckyDeMarcus Cousins is a physical mismatch whose size should allow him to contribute in TMBSL right away. He doesn't possess explosive leaping ability, but otherwise is very good athlete, showing nimble feet despite his size and outstanding strength. Cousins' excellent hands and enormous 7'6 wingspan allow him to finish easily around the rim and through contact. He's shown some range on his jump shot, though he's inconsistent from the free throw line, which he visits often. Cousins should be one of the better rebounders in the class, racking up nearly 10 in just 23.5 minutes per game (16.8 per 40 minutes). Cousins' biggest question mark is his maturity. He can get frustrated at times and force the issue, leading to a healthy amount of turnovers, and while he was a good shot-blocker in college, his lack of explosiveness leads scouts to believe he'll be only average at the next level. Still, he has one of the higher ceilings in the class and could develop into an all-star eventually if his defensive contributions can come remotely close to what he offers on offense.
