Greg MonroeC6'1126520GeorgetownGreg Monroe is one of the more unique center prospects we've seen enter TMBSL in recent years, possessing the build of a big man with the skillset of a guard. He's a fantastic ball-handler and passer and was counted on in Georgetown's offense to be one of the team's primary decision-makers. He's able to keep defenders off balance in the post with his unorthodox left-handed shot and has shown the ability to face up defenders and take them off the dribble. On defense, he demonstrates excellent hand speed as he averaged 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game during his two-year college career. Rebounding was expected to be one of Monroe's big sticking points and while it hasn't developed into a strength to this point, it's no longer the weakness it once was. The biggest concern surrounding Monroe's game is his passive approach. He's a fantastic distributor, almost to a fault, and rarely looks to take over games. He lacks athleticism and looked much slower on the court after adding some weight. While he can generate steals and block shots, he's inconsistent on the defensive end and does not appear fully engaged at all times.
