Charles Barkley comes into this draft as a athletic freak, tree trunk legs and arms like your old Mr. Stretch doll. Barkley is extremely effective in an inside offense with his explosive dunks he loves to show off, his low center of gravity makes him almost unstoppable from the post. However, he is not the most efficient 3 point shooter, he is still not afraid to shoot them often. Barkley is the at the top of the rebounders in this draft class on both sides of the ball but has all time talent on the offensive glass. He has some good court vision and able to see double teams which makes his a consistent passer but his below average handles make him a little turnover prone. On defensive like earlier mentioned he is a very strong rebounder but does have some shortcomings else where. A very good shot blocker for a small forward, but he is easily taken off the dribble on the perimeter and doesn't have the size to guard the post. Without a doubt his strong offensive play and stellar rebounding makes up for his shortcomings on defense. Scouts see significant room for growth as he's exposed to NBA level diet and conditioning.
