In the past we were able to trade directly with other GMs. This worked for a very long time with no problems. The current system is clunky and slows down the draft considerably, and who wants either of those things? If the fear is of people faking scouting info, well, everyone always sent screenshots and no one is going to go through the required effort to fake that and if they do that GM can just be fired because we don't need anyone like that in the league anyway. If the fear is moving assets for "scouting info" because it's easy, well, people will always find a bullshit way around the rules in place to move assets for whatever reason and that needs to be acknowledged. We're now on hour 13 of a wait for scouting info after 1.1 was traded because eric can't be expected to be here with the software open 24/7. The current system causes far more problems than it "solves".

No change
I constructed my team based on the current convoluted scouting rules so we'd need to wait until at least 3020.

at this point the rule is clearly slowing down the draft regardless of why it's happening. let's just change the fucking rule back to what worked for us, without issue, for a long ass time.

Everyone has different values on assets. If part of the negations they settled on 3 scouts for 1K or 1K per Scout or 6K per scout its part of the dealings. I've seen you post about Ian's offer and that shouldn't impact what they did in a much larger scale. I was in shout last night and said I wouldn't sell off a single scout for less than 6K. Others thought 4-5 was a closer value. None of the numbers is some sort of work around or abuse of the system and by putting the veto down you are saying it was. I think the majority of the league thinks that is a bad judgement.
