With Tyson Chandler being selected as the number one overall pick by the Lakers, his selection likely signals things to come at the top of the draft. Sources close to the Cougars organization indicate that they are very interested in numerous young players at the top of the draft and will be focusing their scouting efforts on plenty of young talent.
Looking at the draft boards of pundits and which players put up the best numbers in the college season, the top of the board is littered with teens. Many of whom are oozing with potential but are far from a sure thing for whichever franchise drafts them.

While these young players often come with higher potential and the chance to develop more than their elder peers, they also are more volatile and carry a higher risk for busting out completely due to lack of development of faulty initial evaulations. There are some intriguing prospects in the 21-23 year old age range, but it will be interesting to see how many of them are selected ahead of the tantalizing idea of grabbing a young player to mold at the top of the draft.
