All Game, No Glory ... The Best Active Sim Players without an ASG Appearance (318 views)

This is an interactive article, with a poll attached, that will definitively rank the best player in the league today that lacks a single All-Star nod in his career thus far. If you answer the poll, you can click up to 14 players to give them their due.

Caveats and Criteria:

- Obviously injuries and timing play a role, but some guys just can't catch a break I guess (especially #1 below)

- Only players in year 5 or beyond of their career are included, so... sorry to Giannis, you aren't included.

- I came to these 14 players based on current play (WS through Sim 6 in 3019). Alternatively, also found their way onto the list through exemplary scoring (All-Star voters LOVE scoring!) and I added anyone since 3015 (inclusive) that appeared on the end of seasons Top 10 PPG list. It's not an exact science, but I'm pretty sure I hit all of the major players in the league that should be here. I went through and averaged their WS totals from 3015-3018 to give the list some sort of order and gravitas.

- Players that have appeared on an All-League Team, but not in an ASG, are denoted with a #

- Players that have appeared on an All-League Defensive Team, not in an ASG, are denoted with a %

- Players that finished Top 10 in scoring in the league, but have not made an ASG are denoted with a *

- Players that finished Top 10 in assists, steals, blocks, and/or rebounds in the league, but have not made an ASG are denoted with a ^

As a note to these hopefuls, Martell Webster didn't make an All-Star appearance until the 12th year of his career! There's always more time to reach your goals! Another note: The Pipers have two players very high on the list... they need to mobilize their fan vote. Stop the steel! Start the steal!

70k, good idea. Beckman makes some sense as a snub given he was never going to make it over Kyrie but I'm really surprised Gates hasn't ever made one

Great point, Pete.  Given the talent in the east, it makes sense Beckman hasn't made it.  But Gates doesn't have a lot of talent out west to compete against, so it's surprising he didn't make it.
