The hype around this kid is absolutely bonkers. A four year veteran at UM, he has put up absolutely gaudy numbers, improving greatly from each season to the next. His jumpshot has improved greatly each year, culminating in a 87% FT shooting percentage his senior season at Maryland. He hasn't really shown a lot of capability from beyond the arc yet, but thats a big yet, scouts assume its more of a 'when' not 'if' on that becoming a part of his game as well. Additionally, Len is extremely athletic, with elite quickness that lets him glide around the court, great strength that let's him push his way around inside the paint, and explosive hops to regularly finish above the rim. He hasn't show a lot of scoring skill, dominating the college game with physicality, but there is some. He also crashes the boards extremely aggressively, leading to a good number of rebounds for his position.
There are some downsides, however. Len is a disaster handling the ball, only avoiding record turnover numbers by rarely passing or accumulating many assists. Additionally, his defense isn't anything to write home about. While he can play fundamentally solid defense on the perimeter, and can hold his own under the basket as well, he isn't particularly motivated and won't ever come up with flashy blocks or steals. With no improvement shown in these areas of glaring weakness in four years, scouts are pessimistic about future growth.
