Miami (OH) Harper is an extremely quick player. He's also a premier perimeter defender, interrupting passing lanes at an elite rate, and always getting the toughest assignment on the team. Additionally, he brings a surprising amount of post defense with an uncanny ability to block shots for his size.
On offense Harper is merely adequate from the line, poor from three, and a disaster passing the ball: he doesn't do it enough to be a primary playmaker, but he does it enough to rack up truly eye-popping turnover numbers. Below average strength at only 185 lbs, and his lack of weight doesn't seem to help his lack of explosiveness either, making it easy for opponents to push him around on the boards. Because of these factors, scouts are concerned with Ron's ability to gain a lot more skill at the next level, as his physical limitations could hold him back.
