A scrappy player from Iowa State, Jeff Hornacek has a good ability to score from most places on the floor. The form on his jump shot is good, it doesn't extend to the three point line yet though. While he isn't as strong or physical as most players when scoring in the post, he has a nice layup and a good ability to weave his way through traffic. A very good ball handler and strong passer for a shooting guard, Hornacek just isn't quick enough to play the point guard position or big enough to match up with most wings, and even for a point guard his rebounding would be poor. A heady player, Hornacek's instincts let him make up for some of his athletic liabilities by anticipating opponent passes, and along with his good mechanics have scouts very excited for his future development.
