I don't know what a processing period is. But just to be clear, if I amnesty a player after the end of the playoffs is posted, but before 7:30 PM the following day, will that player (and its salary) be removed from my roster before FA day 1? I think the answer is yes, but that relies on know that 7:30PM the day after the playoffs is a "processing period," which has really never been clear.

I read processing period in this context as 'FA sim / FA processing period'.
Thus the processing periods are: Day 1 Day 2/3 Day 4 Day 5

not during fa and thats my problem. like with this season, i couldnt have amnestied parker to make cap to fill my roster. id just have an incomplete roster. allowing amnesties as we have while holding back waivers for those who are amnestied is a much better approach.

You can still offer FAs without amnestying Parker, though. Hard cap doesn’t limit the offers you can send. So it would only really make a difference for someone trying to create soft cap space, I guess. And you would think they would do that before day 1.

We should add the amnesty hiatus to the scrolling calendar though. I don't think it was on there this last time.

You cannot make an offer if that offer would put you over the hard cap. You can make multiple offers that would put you over the hard cap and if they are accepted that is ok and you just need to amnesty someone.

That is incorrect. eric can confirm The section you are referring to has been determined to only apply to resignings.

So I cannot accept a max resign offer that would put me over the hard cap but I can make that same offer in FA and it will be processed?
