Kendrick Perkins C
6-10
270
18
Ozen High School (Texas)
Unlike many young players his age, Perkins is not infatuated with playing on the perimeter. He plays strictly a power game and is capable of dominating the low post ... Fundamentally he has added various offensive moves, from a drop step, to an up-and-under, and even the rarely utilized jump hook which he can shoot over most defenders. However, he has no discernible shot outside of the post and will struggle from the line for his entire career. Has an excellent pair of hands being able to catch most passes thrown into the post. Is not very quick. Decent passing skills when double teams occur.
Surprisingly decent defense on the perimeter, with a knack for stripping the ball from other bigs in the post. Possesses solid footwork on defense in the post enabling him to stay in front of most defenders. A below average shot blocker, doesn't put himself out of position to rack up huge block numbers. An average rebounder who uses his body to gain good position under the glass. Very large and strong. Only average leaping ability. At 18 years of age Kendrick has a good amount of potential that could end up all over the board after some TMBSL TCs.
