Zach Randolph PF 6-9 260 19 Michigan State Scores nearly perfectly inside, using his body to make it difficult for defenders to block his shot, holding position on the block and backing down his defender, with a soft shooting touch around the basket using a number of spins and drop-steps to score. Solid from the line, but has no range beyond the arc. Great handling, but needs to improve his ability to get teammates involved outside of outlet passes. Not that quick of a player even though he is shorter than most players at that his position, needs to shed his baby fat. Decent at playing passing lanes to generate turnovers. Doesn’t feel comfortable with the fundamentals of playing interior or perimeter defense, and is only an adequate shot blocker. Active on the boards and can pull down rebounds out of position thanks to great reach and instincts. Very strong for a player his age, often being able to just power his way to the basket. Lacks explosive leaping ability which someone his size usually needs. Scouts agree that evinced lack of work ethic limits his potential.
