A lanky forward whose only limit is the sky. Pau Gasol scores inside with incredible ease, dishing out an array of post moves that make future TMBSL competitors squirm. He matches that with a jump shot as smooth as a baby’s bottom, and a growing ability to take shots from beyond the arc. He has the ball-handling skills of a wing player, and a good amount of quickness that shows up on both ends of the floor. He’s adept at getting teammates involved through the passing game. He has quick hands on defense for snagging balls away from the opposition and can be a ton of trouble for a small perimeter player trying to get their shot off. He shows a penchant for snagging blocks, but gets pushed around easily in the post. His offensive rebounding is quite good, and his defensive rebounding is solid, but he can tend to get pushed around on longer plays for position. Needs a tremendous amount of work on upper middle and lower body strength. All scouts agree that the sky is the limit on Pau Gasol, but can he turn that potential into gains in the weight room?
